**The following contains spoilers to Friday's episode of WWE Smackdown.**
Smackdown:
Rey Mysterio defeated CM Punk. The match was very back and forward withRey getting the advantage early on, only for Punk to get the momentumback toward the middle of the match. His Society tried to interfere onhis behalf (they have been added to his Titantron along with the fanshe has saved) but that backfired when Rey recognized and was able toroll Punk up.
The post match saw Gallows pummel Rey, Serena kick him like a football, and Punk directing traffic. Punk knelt down on one knee and had Gallowsplace him on his shoulders for the GTS. After hitting the GTS, Punklaid on the mat taunting Rey and the fans in Baton Rouge started a F***you Punk chant (will need to edit that out).
Layla and McCool antagonize Mickie James about eating a piece of fruit.McCool suggests that she eats a plate of cottage cheese for the titleto fit around her waist, but Laylasuggested that Mickie just opts for the Mark Henry belt extender. Afrustrated Mickie slapped the plate out of Michelle's hand and intoVickie Guerrero's face.
Mickie makes her way to the ringto go one on with Layla but before the match could get off to a goodstart, Vickie cut in with her "Excuse Me". Vickie made it a handicapmatch, and McCool who was not dressed to compete took her belt off herjeans and took her shoes off to fight barefoot. There was a bloopermidway through the match when Layla broke up a pin fall with a kick asher tights fell off (think HHH mooning Vince when DX reunited in 06).She hurriedly pulled her pants up. McCool wins the match with a FaithBreaker.
Drew McIntyre comes out to new musicand heat. He takes a mic and tells the audience that he doesn't carewho his opponent is as he is the IC champ and undefeated. Kane's pyrohits and Drew tries to reason with Kane to push there match back tonext week. The bell rings and Kane kicks him in the head. The two fighton the outside and ended up both getting counted out. After the matchDrew tries to hit Kane with the IC title only to be chokeslammed. Kanetakes the IC title, lays it on a lifeless McIntyre and ignites his pyrobefore heading to the back.
Matt Hardy and Khali defeated The Hart Dynasty. Matt was very over likealways here, and before the match started he introduced his Valentine,Maria who came out to the biggest Diva pop of the night. Matt workerthe majority of the match, and the finish came when Natalya tried tocheat. Maria Lou Thesz presses Natalya on the outside while Matt rollsup Kidd for the win. After the match Khali, Singh, Matt, and Maria posetogether, and once up the ramp Matt and Maria stopped to do the oldHardy/V1 combo pose together.
The video package of Batista attacking Bret/Cena is shown and himwalking out of his match with Punk. This was Batista's first appearancein Baton Rouge since his Evolution days. He walked out to a chorus ofboos. Josh questioned his intentions, but quickly left the ring afterDave stared him down. Dave took the mic and walked around ringside tohe met a Cena fan. The two exchanged words and the fan did the YouCan't See Me gesture. Dave got back in the ring, threw the mic down, and flipped off the Cena fan. He made his way up the ramp to even moreboos, and half way up he decided to turn around. He went back to thering picked up the mic, acted like he was about to speak only to laughand throw it back down.
Teddy announces Batista vs. Edge for next weeks show.
R-Truth made his way to the ring to an enormous pop to take on Morrison. He did a small change in his lines, ending his rapwith Who Dat. Morrison entered to a mix of cheers and boos. The matchwas cut short when Morrison apparently sprained his ankle trying toleap over Truth. He rolled his right ankle pretty badly and had to behelped to the back by Truth, the ref, and the trainer.
Edge makes his way to the ring to a standing ovation, and started offby saying "Who dat that said he would win the Royal Rumble." He talksabout the main benefit of winning the Rumble is that you avoid theChamber match and said that it was possible that he could face Cena,Orton, Myterio, or the love child of Charles Manson and Brutus theBarber Beefcake (CM Punk) at WrestleMania26. He then took the time to point out that while he is in the selectgroup of guys who have main evented Mania and won, there is only oneman who is undefeated.
Jericho's music hitsto interrupt him. Jericho said that Edge didn't mention him as apossible match up because he was afraid of what he would do to him andthat he knows he is Edge's bad luck charm. He talks about Edge cryingabout his injury and making his triumphant return, only to say that hehimself will never know what that feels like since he doesn't get hurt.
Taker's gong sounds as he and Jericho are set to face off in a No DQmain event. Taker's reaction was deafening as it was the first time hehas come to Baton rouge in his Deadman persona and his first matchperiod since his Big Evil days. Edge did commentary for the match. Thefinish came when Jericho went to the outside and got into an argumentwith Edge onlt for Taker to come from behind and attempt to throwJericho over the table and on top of Edge. Edge moved at the lastminute and he and Taker had a stare off before Taker threw Jericho backin the ring. Edge let his guard down and it resulted in Taker givinghim a boot to the head. Back in the ring, Taker hit the Last Ride onJericho, but before he could pin him Edge hit him with a Spear. Takersat up as Edge was making his way up the ramp. Taker went over tocollect Jericho's carcass only to be hit with the Code Breaker and bepinned. Jericho wins as the fans boo and exit the River Center.

We are one month removed from the beginning of the "Hogan/Bischoff" Erain TNA Wrestling, and the company has never seen better ratings &publicity. Hulk was asked about the last month & how it's beenbeing in TNA. "It's been a wild ride. Whenever I got into this thing, Iwas going 'Oh my god, how am I going to pull this thing off' withoutclimbing in the ring & wrestling?,'because that's always been my safety net...no matter what people sayabout my work, no matter what thinks following my career, at the end ofthe day, whether you love me or hate me, I could always reach into thebag of tricks and put on the old yellow boots & pick a number. I'vebeen doing this thing not having any idea how it was going to shakedown, and from the moment I got there, there's been this energybrother...there's been this vibe...that's all I can tell you. It'stranslated across the board from Dixie Carter being excited, to all theyoung guys in the dressing room being excited, to the networkgenerating numbers, to people thinking that wrestling is gonna' go backto the way it used to be. It's generated this energy of 'Oh my gosh, the only person that ever could give Vince (McMahon) a run for hismoney was Hogan & Eric. This is an exciting time, it's game onbrother. I'm just now starting to realize that wrestling is a war. I'mjust getting smartened up to this thing. And to all those 'smart marks'that think they're smart, they're not smart, because I'm just startingto figure this crap out right now."
"The Hulkster" was asked about his & Eric Bischoff's time in WCW& what has he taken out of that experience of going head-to-headagainst the WWEthe first time to where he stands today. "It's not a cookie-cutterthing...you just lock down like you did when you ran against Vince withTed Turner. I thought that would work just to work it in and make acrack, but things are different than they two-three months ago becauseof the economy. When you figure in the networks & the head ofViacom, and they're watching the minute by minute numbers for 18-34,it's not like you could just plug in the old NWO and do it like we didwhen we punked Vince out. It's ever-changing moving parts, so we didlearn from our mistakes; like when you get successful sometimes, youcan get too full of yourself. Believe me, we are so grateful to beworking with Dixie, we are so grateful to be with TNA, such a youngcompany that's got 'more moves than a bowl of Jello.' It's not a publiccompany where you gotta' sit down with people to talk about votes &what we aren't going to do. We don't have a bunch of people that don'tknow the wrestling business running the company. We have learned fromour mistakes, and we are learning, almost like on the job training, because some of the stuff that worked two weeks ago, didn't work lastweek, so we're digging in and have our ears & eyes to the ground."
Blade asked the "Million Dollar Question" everyone has been wanted toknow the answer to over the past several weeks: How close is TNA togoing to Monday Nights permanently? "All week we have been getting goodnews, and we are pushing hard in that direction. There's stuff that'salready been scheduled, there's budgeting issues, there's shows for thenew season, so it's not like 'Ok, let's go live on Monday nights.'Nothing is that easy. A lot of the fans, a lot of the 'smart marks' aresaying we should go live Monday nights. They have no idea what itentails, I'm just now having people set me down after 30 years ofwrestling and go 'Guy, you know what it's all about.' Now you'redealing with the network and the way the audience flips &changes...it's almost like that metal that comes out of 'TheTerminator.' Right when you think you have it figured out, it starts tomold, and manipulate, and shape. Pushing hard for Mondays, trying toget there, a lot of variables, but it looks much better than it didyesterday."
"Wild" Bill Brown asked Hogan about him getting the ring in TNA and ifthat is a strong possibility for his future with the company, or if ishe content with his current job status as it stands right now. "Ilearned one thing in Australia, and that was I shouldn't be in the ringanymore. The way my body is beat up, I was definitely on a wing & aprayer in Australia. I just needed to air my shorts out after the crazydivorce & legal stuff. If you could imaginejumping out of a plane without a parachute and know hopefully that youare going to land safely & being naked...that's how it was inAustralia. I needed to get out of the house, get back in the ring, andfeel that love & that crazy vibe even if I was dragging a leg orlimping around. I found out in Australia that me wrestling in a ring innot the place to be, so if I was to wrestle in TNA, the hardest part ofmy night is walking down that ramp and staying straight-faced, becausemy back, and my hips, and legs hurt so much. If you watch closely, I'mdoing a bit of a shuffle out there, so if I was crazy enough to wrestlein that ring, they might be using a broom & a dustpan to sweep outthe ring at the end of the match, so not anticipating going in thering."
This past week, WWE's John Cenawas asked about the chance to go one-on-one with "The Hulkster" in thefuture, and he was quoted in an online chat saying that Hogan was"wasting his time," referring to Hulk current position in TNA. Hoganwas asked about the comment & what he thought about it. "John'sdoing what he's gonna' do take care of his family, true to hispaycheck. We see John Cena all the time at the (Tampa Bay) Rays gameswith me & Brian Knobbs when we're up in the box. He's just doingwhat he has to do to cover his ass brother. You never know, one dayJohn Cena may be working for me. Vince McMahon could be working for me...who knows?"
With change in a corporate structure, comes change inside thecorporation...and professional wrestling is no different. With Hogan& Bischoff at the helm, things are to bound to change, so The BigMosh asked Hogan about some of those changes within the company, alongwith the likelihood of bringing in more new talent to TNA. "Oh good godbrother, telephone, telegraph, tell a wrestler! My phone has been ringing off the hook. I've got all kinds of peoplefrom the WWE calling me, wanting to hang out, wanting to talk, wantingto fell me out. This thing is really going down. I mean whether youlike it or not, I'm not looking for the players like back in the day. When I was running, we had these crazy big contracts, these big moneycontracts, but times have changed. At the end of the day, I'm lookingfor these guys who want to help me build a company. I'm looking forthese guys that invest their hearts & their souls like Samoa Joesaid...'whatever it takes.' Like AJ Stylessaid, 'whatever it takes, with no limitations.' Those are the type ofguys I'm looking for to build this company and step in. Jeff Hardy, RobVan Dam, if (John) Cena wants to play that game down the road, he canget real. I'm looking for guys who can get real with me & not abunch of posers."
TNA writer, Vince Russo, was on The Monday Night Mayhem Radio Networklast week (promoting the release of his new book "Rope Opera: How WCWKilled Vince Russo), and said that Hogan was in on the now infamous WCWBash At The Beach angle from years past, and that it was all simplymiscommunication. Hogan was asked for his side of the story to put thispiece of wrestling lure to bed and if anything needed to be added tothe story. "My mother told me if you can't say something good, don'tsay nothing at all. Sometimes you have to look at the big picture, andsometimes if things get real nasty, you don't want to step in shiznit, you want to step over it. Because I'm getting along with TNA right now,I'm not saying I get along with Vince Russo. I'm not saying I get alongwith everybody, but the big picture is for me to make a left-handed,back handed comment about this situation right now, I haven't read hisbook, and I didn't hear the radiointerview. But all I know is if you're gonna' tell the truth, yougotta' tell all the truth, not just part of it, and that's all I'mgonna say."
More is contained in this exclusive interview with "The Immortal" Hulk Hoganas part of Monday Night Mayhem's eight-year anniversary special, including what he believes are the strengths & weaknesses thatcurrently exist in TNA, why he does not want his daughter (Brooke)getting into TNA/the wrestling industry, what he's trying to do withTNA's current World Heavyweight Champion ("The Phenomenal" AJ Styles)in order to make him a star, & his candid thoughts on creating aunion for wrestlers in the forthcoming months/years ahead. Hello, and welcome to AllWrestlingOnline.com. Over the next few days, weeks, and perhaps months, I'll be tweaking this web site to offer the very best professional wrestling coverage on the internet. Today, there are all too many choices when it comes for the inside scoop on professional wrestling, so why stick with AllWrestlingOnline.com? Good question, and right now all I can offer as an aswer is the fact that nobody wants this site to succeed more than I do. I want to build a community of wrestling fans and provide them with all the information they need and want, so they don't have to keep wasting valuable time searching.
Aimed mostly at a male demographic, this site will periodically be updated with pictures of smokin' hot divas and knockouts, and will provide embedded videos for your entertainment. Eventually the message boards will be opened, and it is my hope that if you've hung around long enough to read this post, perhaps you'll stick around for some discussion as well. No pressure!
Until the site takes off, I'll be working overtime to make sure it does just that. Until then, if you like what you see, tell a friend. If not, just push it to the back of your mind and pretend nothing ever happened.

When asked if he plans on wrestling a match, The Rock said:

The Rock plans on having a major impact on WWEprogramming and could serve as a semi-permanent RAW Guest host for the entire summer:
"I do have intention of going back and hostingthe show. Hosting a show like that would give me the opportunity to geton the microphone, rip open the writing, and invite guests on to comehost with me. We wanted to create something cool and big and fun forthe audience."
